Further educational programmes at The Norwegian Academy of Music are offered both as full time or part time programmes, from 30 to 60 ECTS credits.
For 2013/14 we offer the following programmes:
- Practical Pedagogic Training
- Music and Health
- Church Music I
- Church Music II
- Administration and Management
- Minority cultures in music education
- Conducting I
- Conducting II
- Composition
- Music Theory
- Live Electronics: Music Techology for Performers
All these programmes requires proficiency in Norwegian, as the tuition is exclusively in Norwegian. Please contact the admissions office for questions about admissions, or see our Norwegian programme descriptions for details.
The further educational programmes are based on at least two years of music education on undergraduate / first cycle or bachelor's level.
For some of the programmes, other types of background within music or relevant basic studies will qualify for admission. This is specified in the individual programme. The further educational programmes may be included as part of a bachelor's degree.
Important dates and deadlines
| 15 April 2013 | The application must be registered on Søknadsweb. |
| 20 April 2013 | The supplementary form must be submitted, filled out and with all the required documentation attached. |
| May 2013 | Auditions at the Academy for selected programmes |
| 1 June 2013 | Admission letters will be sent by regular mail. |
| 1 July 2013 | Information about the academic year 2013/14 will be sent by regular mail. |
| 1 August 2013 | Diplomas/transcripts for education completed in spring 2013 must be forwarded to the Academy. |
| 26 August 2013 | First day of the semester. |
