Study programmes at the Norwegian Academy of Music
The Norwegian Academy of Music is a specialised university. The Academy has 561 study places and educate today's and tomorrow's professional musicians, church musicians, conductors, composers, music educators and music therapists.
The Norwegian Academy of Music offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in a wide range of musical fields within classical music, improvised music/jazz and traditional Norwegian music.
Most programmes have Norwegian as the primary language of instruction, though individual instruction may be in another language, mostly English. A selected number of degree programmes will be offered in English.
The bachelor-level programme is intended as a preparatory course for our Master’s level programmes. While the Master’s level programme is intended for applicants already at this level.
